The Sweets Night Family Mixer was a night full of fun and games for the whole family and community. We were able to raise awareness about the benefits and blessings of inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental challenges in all areas of community life. We met many new friends and thoroughly enjoyed our time together getting to know one another.
These individuals continue to face barriers connecting with the community and reaching their fullest potential. Wide Horizons, Inc. is even more committed to helping aspiring young adults with intellectual and developmental challenges find sustainable employment in our community. Tonight we saw how powerful Awareness, Acceptance, Support and Inclusion are on the journey towards sustainable Vocation for our participants and our community.
