Expanding Vocational Opportunities by Leveraging Valuable Experiences:
Our E.V.O.L.V.E. program combines community service activities with a structured life-skills curriculum, job coaching, employment assistance, and person-centered goal planning to provide a road map for vocational and life skills learning opportunities. Through our cooperation with organizations, businesses, and local citizens throughout San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties we help guide neurodiverse individuals and their family support network to realize a greater purpose of a more full life through integrated employment and higher levels of independence.
Our program is offering about 30 hours of instruction per week with several community service activities in the month that support the growth and success of our participants. There are many variables to factor into that success, including the level of family support involvement. We think it takes about a year to get a good fit for a participant in the community. But we take everyone as they are and determine the roadmap from there. There is no one perfect answer.
